Three year cooperation agreement with samos prefecture tourism organization

          Mr Toanoglou Michael, Managing director of Euroxenia S.A through his personal involvement, contracted a three years cooperation agreement with the Tourism Organization of Samos Prefecture (O.TO.N.A.S.)
          Mr. Toanoglou has taken charge as General Manager of the Organization (OTONAS) and aims at the best possible and more effective management of Samos Prefecture (Samos-Ikaria-Fournoi) as a tourist destination as well as the strategy planning based on viability and sustainable tourism development. Samos as a destination being at an early development stage  and having strong comparative advantages (environmental, cultural-historical and social-economical) has the ability to plan on time the development path of the Prefecture, based on the modern trends of quality tourism with environmental sensitivity, social responsibility and economical viability.
          The immediate priorities that were placed are, the analytical registration of the available resources of the 8 municipalities of the prefecture, the creative communication and consultation of all the organizations that are involved in OTONAS, the construction of a dynamic touristic portal that will completely and reliably reflect the new brand of the destination, the development of national and international co-operations (eg. with UNWTO, UNEP, as well as networks of Mediterranean and Islands destinations), creation of Tourist Information Offices at all tourist entry gates of the Prefecture (ports, airports), management of the existing human resources of the region and reinforcement of the education and tourist mentality, as well as rearrangement of the tourism promotional and marketing policy of the destination.
          The implementation of the actions and activities locally in Samos were appointed to a collaborator of Euroxenia Mr. Dimitrios Prokopiou (Phd candidate in University of Piraeus) who specializes in tourism matters and environmental impacts, and has undertaken as Assistant Manager, based in O.TO.N.A.S  office in Samos Prefecture main building.
